The saying "be careful what you wish for" couldn't be more applicable to Nico Rosberg after this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.
Following a dominant display from Mercedes in Australia, Rosberg told Sebastian Vettel that he "hopes Ferrari can close the gap to Mercedes as it would be good for Formula 1".
Well he got his wish and some more at Sepang as Vettel came from second on the grid to beat Lewis Hamilton to victory with Rosberg taking the final podium position.
"All I can say on behalf of my team is 'game on Ferrari'," Rosberg said after the race. "Not sure about exact details of our strategy as it was complex out there.
"I'm sure we did a good job. But congratulations to Sebastian. We'll be back for the next race."
