Rosberg: I drove to the max
Nico Rosberg says he was doing his "max" in Australia on Sunday, the only problem was Lewis Hamilton drove "like a World Champion."
The Mercedes drivers finished first and second with Hamilton take the Albert Park victory by 1.4s ahead of his team-mate.
The result, though, belies the true story as while they were close, Hamilton always appeared to have the edge.
So it's no wonder Rosberg says his team-mate drove like the "World Champion" he is.
"It's a nice feeling to be second because it is an awesome start to the season for Mercedes," he said on the podium.
"The team have given us an absolutely stunning car this year so thank you to the team for that.
"Lewis drove like a World Champion today but I was driving to the max every lap."
The German, who finished runner-up to his team-mate last season, vowed that in the races to come he will do everything he can to make Hamilton work for it.
"I will be doing my best to give this guy a big run for his money," he said.
