Carlos Sainz will line up on the grid for Sunday's Russian GP after getting the all-clear.
The Toro Rosso escaped injury in a high-speed crash in final practice which ended with his car buried under the barriers.
Sainz was airlifted to a local hospital but released later that night.
The 21-year-old underwent a medical with FIA medical delegate Professor Jean-Charles Piette on Sunday morning and was given the all-clear to race.
Toro Rosso said in a statement: "Following this morning's FIA note to the Media in which Carlos Sainz was declared fit to race, Scuderia Toro Rosso is happy to confirm that Carlos will take part in today's 2015 Russian Grand Prix here in Sochi."
