After securing P6 during qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix, Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz is hoping to finish the race in a high position, where he feels the team belongs.
His team-mate Daniil Kvyat, who has endured a tough time since being dropped by Red Bull, also qualified in an impressive P7.
The Spaniard is excited to get Sunday's race started and challenge for a position in the top six, while adding they are also hoping to finish above Force India.
When questioned about the qualy, the 22-year-old answered: "Very pleased.”
"I think after so many tough races it was time to go back to where we belong, where I think I belong.
"Finally to be fighting for the top six nearly half a second clear of the Force India, is to be very, very, very happy and I can be pleased with the performance this weekend.
"I think it's time to focus on tomorrow – be very happy for what we have accomplished today, but knowing that tomorrow is an important day for the team.
"It's a race we have to do our best, we have to make sure we bring the two cars home tomorrow.
"If we bring them home and we do the right strategy we should be where we are at the moment because our race pace is actually as good as our qualifying pace."
