Steiner: Next Haas update ‘a big one’

Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has said there is "quite a lot of things" coming to the team as they look to get into the thick of the midfield battle.

The American outfit have collected just eight points so far this season and are currently seventh in the World Constructors' Championship.

But Steiner is hopeful they can bridge the gap with the new upgrade they are planning to implement in Spain.

“Quite a big one. I don’t know if it’s our bigger one but for sure on the bigger side of it, there is quite a lot of things coming,” Steiner said when asked about how significant the upgrade will be.

“We need to check because we haven’t tested it in Bahrain if it works like it does in the wind tunnel.

“But if it does I think it’s a nice upgrade. But then again, sometimes you put it on the car and you need to learn about it, the same as we did with the brakes. So I hope not.

“But again, I think it will give us a little boost.”
