Adrian Sutil’s manager insists the German is confident that he will remain in Formula One next season.
The 28-year-old is without a race seat for the 2012 campaign after Force India opted to drop him in favour of compatriot Nico Hulkenberg.
With only seats at Williams and HRT remaining, there are doubts as to whether he will be on the grid come the first race in Melbourne.
However, his manager Manfred Zimmermann says they still have plenty of time left to secure his F1 future.
“We are not panicking,” Zimmermann told SPORT1. “We have until February 7 when testing starts.”
Sutil has been linked with a move to Ferrari in recent days, but Zimmermann is refusing to give anything away.
“It would be unwise to reveal the names of your negotiating partners to the public. We will keep quiet with our various options and decide what makes the most sense,” he said.
He added: “One cannot speak of an uncertain future. Adrian is confident that he will continue in Formula One.”
