Adrian Sutil’s first qualifying session has ended with a reprimand after the Force India was too slow back into the pits.

Returning to Formula One this season, Sutil has spent 15 months on the sidelines.

And although it initially appeared as if his break had not hampered his pace, it seems it did in the wake of qualifying.

The German was summoned to see the stewards after qualy for driving “unnecessarily” slow.

He was reprimanded.

The stewards said: “Car #15 was being driven unnecessarily slowly and in a manner that was potentially dangerous to other drivers who were approaching the pitlane at high speed.”
