Vandoorne secures Super Formula seat

Stoffel Vandoorne has confirmed he will race in Japan’s Super Formula this season alongside his McLaren commitments.
The reigning GP2 Champion has already been announced as McLaren’s reserve driver for this year’s championship.
But with the 23-year-old Belgian also keen to continue racing, he has now signed with the Honda-powered Dandelion team with whom he tested last November.
Racing in Super Formula will allow Vandoorne to attend all but one F1 grand prix weekend as the sole clash is the Monaco GP in May.
