Vasseur determined to improve Renault

Currently enduring a disappointing season, Renault team principal Frederic Vasseur has claimed that they have not given up and will continue to strive for the best results.

With driver Kevin Magnussen scoring all of their six points, the Frenchman admitted that 2016 has been difficult and have already started focusing on next year, but not at the expense of the current season.

Ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix next weekend, Vassuer reiterated the fact that the improvements won’t be made overnight and added that it is a building process.

“We are all very much focused on 2017 and yet we must continue to strive for the best results possible in the upcoming races,” he said.

“It is tough for the team of course but we can clearly see progression in areas that are not always visible externally.

“This is all part of the building of this team. We must concentrate on this and work on areas that can make a difference in the longer term.

“For example: tyre management, how we manage our race weekends and improving the car’s regular performance.”
