Christian Horner says it is “very, very likely” that Mark Webber will stay on at Red Bull Racing in 2012.

Webber is out of contract at the end of this season, having opted to only sign a one-year renewal with the reigning World Champions.

His future with the team has been the subject of several rumours of late. Some claim he could retire at the end of the season while others say he’s off to Ferrari.

More recently he’s also been linked to a move to Renault with team boss Eric Boullier saying that the day Webber “wants to leave Red Bull, he has my number and he knows I am interested.”

Renault, though, may have to wait a bit longer for the Aussie’s service as Red Bull team boss Horner reckons Webber will spend at least another season with the reigning Champs.

“It’s very, very likely,” motorsport-magazin reports Horner as having told Servus TV.

“We agreed and said we would sit down together a bit later and then focus on next year.”
