Sebastian Vettel has publicly apologised to “every single member” of Red Bull Racing for his antics in Malaysia.

Vettel drew widespread criticism when he ignored team orders to steal the Malaysian Grand Prix victory from his team-mate Mark Webber.

Vettel apologised to Webber in the immediate aftermath with a reported handshake between the two clearing matters.

However, the 25-year-old German went one step further and headed to Red Bull’s headquarters in Milton Keynes to say sorry to the staff there.

“He’s said he can’t turn back the clock but he’s accepted what he did was wrong,” team boss Christian told Reuters.

“He’s apologised to the team and to every single member of staff for his actions

“He recognises the team is vitally important and being part of the team is a crucial aspect to being able to challenge for those Championships.”
