Force India are confident they will have a few days of running in the VJM08 before the new season, saying it is "expected" to be ready for the final test.
The team, who finished sixth in last year's Championship, sat out the opening test at Jerez at the beginning of February.
Finances played a role with reports claiming they had not paid EOM for the new monocoque.
With those bills now apparently sorted, Force India believe the new car will be present at the third and final test in Barcelona, which begins on February 26th.
The team said in a statement: "Given the team's current build schedule, the VJM08 is now expected to make its debut at the second Barcelona test scheduled to begin on 26 February."
The team will still take part in the second test, which begins at the Circuit de Catalunya on Thursday, but will use a 2014 VMJ07.
