After last year’s torrential rain, Formula 1 can look forward to a warm and dry race weekend at the Circuit of the Americas.
UBIMET, the official meteorological service provider for the FIA, is forecast near perfect conditions for this weekend’s United States GP.
There is a small possibility of light rainfall on Thursday but once the action gets underway on Friday, the weather will warm up.
UBIMET reports: “On Thursday there will be a few showers around, but rainfall amounts should be light. Cooler temperatures are expected with highs between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. Winds will be moderate, diminishing in the afternoon.
“From Friday through the weekend, expect partly to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will remain near normal for practice and qualifying runs on Friday and Saturday with highs around 25 degrees Celsius.
“Race day may see the start of a warming trend with highs peaking 28 degrees Celsius.”
