Wehrlein passed fit for Bahrain Grand Prix

Pascal Wehrlein has been declared fit to return to the Sauber seat for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The German opted to withdraw from the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and then missed the Chinese Grand Prix due a "training defecit" that came as a result of the back injury he sustained at the Race of Champions event back in January.

Ferrari test driver Antonio Giovinazzi has stood in during Wehrlein's absense, but he undid a lot of the hard work he produced in Melbourne with two costly crashes in Shanghai.

Bahrain will represent Wehrlein's first race for Sauber after joining from the now-defunct Manor over the winter.
