On the back of news that Ferrari have re-signed Kimi Raikkonen, it has been reported that Williams wanted "around £10 million to release" Valtteri Bottas.

In recent weeks, rumours of the Finn's potential move to Ferrari made headlines, dominating the silly season.

However, instead of announcing the Williams driver for 2016, Ferrari have instead revealed that Raikkonen will stay on for a further season.

And that is all because Williams wanted to "high a price" for the 25-year-old driver.

According to the Daily Telegraph, "Williams had been holding out for around £10 million to release Bottas from his contract, with rumours that Ferrari thought it too high a price to pay for a driver who has had an unconvincing season."
