Charles Leclerc and Liam Lawson under FIA investigation
It was an eventful wet-dry-wet Brazilian Grand Prix around Interlagos.
Lawson at one stage found himself running second in his Racing Bulls while Leclerc battled his way into the points-paying positions.
The pair met in the closing laps of the race, as the rain returned.
As they battled, Leclerc, on the inside line into Juncao, rubbed wheels with his Racing Bulls rival as they exiting the uphill left-hander.
It was enough to unsettle Lawson, with the Ferrari driver taking the place as they navigated the Senna S at the end of the long front straight.
“Rubbing is racing” was the verdict from Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in the post-race cooldown room, but the FIA stewards want to take a closer look at that incident.
Ferrari saw its mathematical hopes of winning the Constructors’ Championship come to an end at Interlagos, as Mercedes clinched the crown.
