The title was an inevitability in Mexico but fans who want to celebrate the victory with merchandise will have to wait.
Pre-orders opened on a special edition Kimi Antonelli t-shirt today. Priced at £35 and designed by Mercedes’ partner Adidas, the t-shirt will only be available on 25 November.
The black t-shirt, which features the champion’s logo on the back, is joined by a £45 cap with Kimi’s signature and the champions logo. Pre-orders for the cap are open and deliveries will also begin on 25 November.
Mercedes and Antonelli fans will also be able to buy Adidas merchandise celebrating his first world title on the F1 Store with ‘car graphic’ t-shirts priced at £30 on the official store.
More Mercedes merchandise is expected in the next few months if the team also wins the Constructors’ title, although new products will only be available a few weeks after the team takes the title.
It has been a busy week for new F1 merchandise as the season heads towards the final few races. Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari have announced a new special edition Brazil cap for the next race.
The cap, priced at £43, uses Hamilton’s traditional yellow with a Brazilian twist. The cap has ‘torn’ areas in green in an homage to the South American country and the famous track. The caps are available to pre-order with deliveries beginning on 11 November.
Meanwhile, Audi has teamed up with Adidas to launch an entire collection for the Brazilian GP. The Audi Adidas Sampa Soul collection includes caps, t-shirts featuring the track layout design, and green replica driver jerseys. You can get the collection here.
