I am US Editor, covering Formula 1 news and history from an American perspective.

In my role, I have forged relationships with incoming US automakers as well as with the organizers of North American Grands Prix while also keeping a finger on the pulse of US fan sentiment in order to understand the cultural associations with the sport and its growth.

Further, my robust understanding of motorsport history allows me to contextualize contemporary news items in order to illustrate to readers why that news item is so important.

About

My start in journalism came as a weekend contributor at Jalopnik in 2018, where I soon progressed through the ranks to become a senior editor before joining PlanetF1.com as US Editor in 2024. Beyond my work at PlanetF1.com, I serve as the founder, historian, and host of the “Deadly Passions, Terrible Joys” podcast, which centers on motorsport’s forgotten scandals and tragedies.

I served as managing editor at A Girls Guide to Cars and have bylines in The Drive, Road & Track, Donut Media, RACEWKND Magazine, The Road Rat, Business Insider, and Frontstretch. Further, I have contributed work to both Formula E and Red Bull, and have served as co-host of the Donut Racing Show and The Grid Girls podcasts. In 2022, I published “Racing with Rich Energy: How a Rogue Sponsor Took Formula One for a Ride” with co-author Alanis King, which centers on Haas F1’s chaotic title sponsor in 2019. I am a three-time Excellence in Craft award winner courtesy of the Texas Auto Writers’ Association.

Born and raised in Michigan, I now live in Texas and share my home with my husband and the feral cats we’ve rescued. I graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and honors in creative writing; I also hold masters’ degrees in English literature and creative writing from Arcadia University.
